  • Most accommodation in Britain is charged on a Per Person basis (rather than per room basis). The price you see here for this tour is the Price per Person.
  • If you request a Twin Room there are two single beds (usually 3 feet wide) in the room.
  • If you request a Double Room there is one bed in which two people usually sleep (usually 4 feet 6inches wide).
  • Both the Double and the the Twin room are sometimes available for Single Occupancy (one person in the room), usually with a supplement to compensate the provider who would normally have received payment from two people.
  • If the accommodation offers Single rooms (one bed of 3 feet wide), this will normally be priced higher than half of a double or twin room. Unless space is limited in the village or accommodation we usually avoid these as the rooms tend to be older and less space to move about.

What You Can Expect London Thames River Evening Cruise. Enjoy a wonderful cruise on the Thames River. Make your own way to Westminster Pier in central London in the early evening, and hop aboard your cruise boat. Then, take a seat on the open-air upper deck, or settle into one of the window-side seats in the fully-heated lower saloon area. Feel the rumble of the engines and take in unparalleled views of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben as your cruise boat slips away from the pier and out onto the calm waters of the Thames River.

Nab a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and help yourself to the selection of colorful canapés being served by the friendly waiting staff. Then, relax and listen to the live musician play soothing jazz, pop and soul songs as your boat glides down the river toward historical, Royal Greenwich. With the sun hanging low in the sky, see the landmarks of London bathed in a dreamy, orange glow.

Cruise past the London Eye, and see the majestic St Paul’s Cathedral and the famous Elizabethan playhouse, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Have your camera at the ready as you meander through the cluster of famous sights that surround the London Bridge area. See the aptly-named Gherkin building and the gravity-defying Shard that stands at a dizzying 1,016 feet (310 meters) tall. Then, marvel at the iconic Tower Bridge and be awed by the monumental Tower of London. Travel past the impressive skyscrapers and twinkling lights of Canary Wharf, London’s financial hub, before admiring the Cutty Sark, the world’s only surviving tea clipper, standing proudly at Greenwich pier. Perhaps head to the bar on the lower-deck to purchase additional drinks (own expense). Then, as the cruise boat turns and makes its way back to Westminster, return to your seat and watch the lights of London flicker to life as the sky grows ever darker. See the city’s skyline illuminate against the inky backdrop and snap a few final photos, before disembarking at Westminster Pier where your cruise concludes.

If the first word out of Jim's mouth when asked by our taxi driver upon arrival back into San Diego was "fantastic"describing our Walk, then I guess that one word could summarizes our experience along the Thames River. As you know, this was our fourth experience with self-guided walking tours in southern England and without a doubt the best one. All accommodations were to our standards, and in several cases, better than expected. The rooms were beautifully appointed and bathtubs were so welcomed. Our feet say "thank you." The luggage transfers worked without a glitch. One suggestion, however, would be to place your company's contact information as well as the client's itinerary on tags attached to the luggage. If anything, that practice reduces client stress about a possible mix-up (has happened to us with another company. Another suggestion would be to make the hotel reservation in the client's name instead of yours to cut down on confusion with hotel reception staff. Thank you for securing all the train tickets which can be a hassle especially during rush hour. Your specific written direction to our accommodations were clear and easy to follow and the accompanying maps and guide book were extremely helpful where signage was either missing or confusing. Without a doubt we will recommend your company to friends seeking a similar experience to ours and in the future we'll do business again this time with a combo trip to include the Cotswolds and the Lake District. Thank you for arranging such an enjoyable experience.
