Here is Something you might remember about England

14 July 2020

These are the foods you might remember we English ate during and after the 2nd World War

Surprisingly these have been popular during Coronavirus Lock Down.

When you come back and see us again, perhaps you will see them in our country Pubs.

This can be found on our Lake District Tour and many others.

Dear Philip. We're back in the US, and while we are happy to be home we are still wallowing in the pleasure of our six days on the Coast to Coast walk. Our thanks to you for everything, especially for getting us to the train on that last day and for sending Mal to meet us after our shattering day into Shap. We were pooped, as they say, and it lifted our spirits wonderfully to have his fine company at the end of that long day and the next morning when he shuttled us to Orton. Please give him our regards and our enthusiastic thanks. We feel privileged to have met both of you and to have been taken care of by such lovely hosts at the guesthouses and inns you arranged--especially Irene and David in St. Bee's and Nigel and Trish in Seatoller. It was a trip we will always remember, and our hope is that we'll have occasion before too long to be in touch again to arrange another visit to Britain. All best to you, and thank you again for everything.
